🔸Sistan and Baluchestan Province Police reported that in the morning of Thursday, the 8th of Mordad, an “armed attack on law enforcement officers in Iranshahr County” took place.

🔸Mehr News Agency reported that armed occupants of three passenger vehicles fired at law enforcement officers at one of the checkpoints in Iranshahr County.

🔸The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), citing Sistan and Baluchestan Province Police, also said that in this shooting, a law enforcement officer named Meysam Karami, with the rank of Second Sergeant, was killed.

🔸The attack occurred less than a day after another shooting in Iranshahr, which was reported to have resulted in the killing of “First Warrant Officer Mehran Salarzadeh.”

🔸Sistan and Baluchestan Police described the attackers as “armed criminals,” but did not announce any further details about them.
