🔻Sharif condemns Houthi attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia

Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, strongly condemned the repeated attacks by the Houthis on Saudi Arabia, including attacks on the international airports of Riyadh and Abha, which led to the killing and injuring of civilians.

In a message on the X social network, Sharif thanked Saudi forces and the coalition led by Saudi Arabia for intercepting the Houthi ballistic missiles, and said that Pakistan stands with Saudi Arabia with “unwavering solidarity.”

Referring to the defense pact Pakistan has signed with Saudi Arabia and Turkey, he said: “Within the framework of the joint Defense Agreement of Makkah and the recent decisions of the Political and Defense Strategic Committee, our commitment to the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a resolute and firm commitment.”

Sharif added that Pakistan fully supports “the legitimate right of Saudi Arabia to defend its people and protect its cities and vital infrastructure.”

The Pakistani prime minister also said: “Houthi militias must immediately put an end to these attacks.”
