🔻Saudi Arabia: A kindergarten and a medical complex in Riyadh damaged by missile debris
The Saudi Arabian City Defense Organization announced that a kindergarten and a medical complex in Riyadh were damaged as a result of shrapnel from the interception of a missile.
The incident occurred hours after reports of an explosion were heard in the Saudi capital.
In a statement by the organization, published on the social media platform X, it said: “After a ballistic missile was intercepted, pieces of the missile fell in Riyadh, as a result of which a kindergarten and a treatment complex suffered material damage.” The statement did not specify whether anyone was injured in the incident.
Statements by Saudi officials about a missile hitting non-military installations are relatively rare, and over the past few weeks the country’s authorities have only issued a few statements about the effects of Houthi attacks.
