Shahram Kholadi, a researcher of Middle East history and international relations, with reference to recent statements about the need for the United States to achieve a major breakthrough in its war with the Islamic Republic, said that what is meant by this achievement is full transparency of the nuclear program, inspections, and the end of enrichment, or carrying it out in a way that is verifiable.

He added that limiting the Islamic Republic’s missile capabilities and controlling or disarming its proxy forces would also likely be part of America’s goals.
