Saudi Arabia’s official news agency said it confirmed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s dialogue with the head of the United States to avoid an attack on Iran.

The report adds that in a phone call with Donald Trump, the Saudi crown prince emphasized the need to prioritize dialogue to reduce tensions and to use all possible efforts to reach a ceasefire that would pave the way for diplomatic solutions.

He further stated that reaching an agreement could prevent the region from being drawn into a wider war with regional and international consequences.

Earlier, Axios, citing several informed sources, reported that on Saturday, bin Salman had asked Trump to refrain from attacking the Islamic Republic.

Mr. Trump also said in a message on “Truth Social” that the Islamic Republic, as well as other countries in the Middle East, have asked us to stop any attack because a framework for an agreement has been reached.
