Saudi Arabia’s official news agency reported that the country’s foreign minister held talks in two separate phone calls with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and Ayman Safdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan.

According to the report, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, during these calls, discussed the latest developments in the region, diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, ensuring freedom of navigation in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea, as well as ways to strengthen coordination among the countries of the region to maintain security and stability.

In addition to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, at the same time the Iran-backed Houthis had reported an attack on two Saudi oil tankers, which, according to reports, confirmed only damage to one of the two tankers.
