🔻Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry described Iran’s attacks on Jordan as “brutal acts of aggression” and called for measures to preserve the security of the countries in the region
The Saudi foreign ministry on Thursday condemned the continuation of Iran’s attacks on areas within Jordanian territory “in the most severe manner.”
According to WASS, the Saudi state-run news agency, the Saudi government, emphasizing the need to immediately halt Iran’s overt attacks against Jordan and other countries in the region, called for serious measures to preserve the security and stability of the countries in the region and their citizens.
The Saudi foreign ministry described Iran’s attacks as “in violation of international law and the principle of good neighborliness.”
On Wednesday, after several days of a halt in the attacks, Iran announced that it had targeted U.S. bases in Jordan with missiles.
The attacks angered Donald Trump, who said he would carry out harsh attacks against Iran.
Jordan’s armed forces announced that they had intercepted and destroyed the missiles fired from Iran yesterday and today.
