🔻Sara Hussein: Both the Iranian government and the US and Israel violate the rights of the Iranian people

🔻Today, at a session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the UN’s independent fact-finding committee on Iran presented its latest report.

Sara Hussein, the head of the committee, in the report she presented, said that both the deadly crackdown on the protests in Dey and unlawful detentions and executions, as well as the attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, violate the human rights of the Iranian people. After the report, Hussein pointed to the crackdown by the government on the protests of Dey, the US attack on the Tree of Life School in Minab, and an attack on a stadium in Larestan.

The report’s demands included a halt to death sentences, the release of political prisoners, and structural reforms. Hussein called for action by the international community to prevent the suppression of the Iranian people. After her remarks, a representative of the Islamic Republic spoke, the main thrust of which was condemning the US and Israeli attack.
