Reza Arab, a political analyst, referring to the remarks by Michael Haakabi, the U.S. ambassador in Israel, who said that it is likely only Trump and Netanyahu know about the upcoming decisions, said this is not a serious sign of disagreement between the two.
He pointed to close military cooperation between the United States and Israel and said that announcing the timing of the attack removes the element of surprise.
Arab added that the Islamic Republic’s failure to reach an atomic bomb was not due to a religious fatwa; rather, Israel and the United States have prevented its progress along this path, and the desire to obtain nuclear weapons has been, since the past, part of the Islamic Republic’s political goals.
