Haaretz reported on Monday, 11 Aban, citing Israeli army officials, that Hamas’s military wing is gradually rebuilding its capabilities and undermining the operational achievements of the Israeli army in the Gaza war.
Based on the assessment of these officials, Hamas currently has hundreds of rockets at its disposal and, with help from smuggling from within Israel, is trying to rebuild its weapons production capabilities.
The report adds that the Israeli army, as it prepares for the possibility of renewed hostilities with Iran or Hezbollah, wants to redeploy forces stationed in the ongoing operations in Hebron in the West Bank to other areas.
Israeli army officials believe that continuing operations in Hebron, which are carried out with the support of Israel Katz, the country’s defense minister, is no longer effective and creates unnecessary tensions.
