🔺Reuters: Syrian and Hezbollah talks held in Turkey

▪Reuters reported that talks between representatives of the Syrian government and Hezbollah, a paramilitary group supported by the Islamic Republic, were held face-to-face in Turkey, as an effort to reduce tensions between the two sides.

▪The news agency, citing six sources familiar with the matter, including two Syrian officials, a U.S. official, and a senior Lebanese security official close to Hezbollah, added that Syrian and Hezbollah officials had met privately with one another at least once in the past month.

▪According to the report, the meeting held last month, with Hezbollah representatives and intelligence and Syria’s foreign ministry officials in attendance, was organized at the invitation of Turkey’s security and intelligence institutions, with the aim of reducing tensions, and went well.
