Reuters reported on Friday, 17 Mehr, that Nematollah Shahsawani, 41, and Alireza Farasti, 22, two Iranian men accused in London of spying and collecting information for the Islamic Republic, denied the allegations brought against them in court.

According to this report, Shahsawani is an Iranian-British citizen and Farasti is an Iranian citizen. The two are accused of collecting information and carrying out reconnaissance operations in the months of July and August 2025.

Among the locations it is said these two individuals collected information about are the Israeli embassy and the oldest synagogue in Britain.

The trial of the two accused is scheduled to be held in April next year.
