Hosein Aghaei, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, in referring to a proposal for a deal to purchase the international assets of the Russian company Lukoil, said that Russia’s and China’s interests in Ukraine and Taiwan could affect their approach toward the Islamic Republic.

He emphasized that Moscow and Beijing may reduce the Islamic Republic’s military, logistical, and intelligence support if they secure their major interests, and pressure Tehran to negotiate and accept further concessions.
