The results of the labor force survey in spring 1405, released by the Statistical Center of Iran, show that during this period the unemployment rate in the country has increased.

According to the official report from the center, in the first three months of 1405, when the country has been dealing with the consequences of war, 9.1% of people aged 15 and older were unemployed; this indicator is an increase of 1.8% compared with the same season in 1404.

In spring 1405, 40.7% of the population aged 15 and older were economically active, which is a 0.5% decrease compared with the same period of the previous year.

Also, the number of employed people aged 15 and older in this period decreased by approximately 450 thousand people, and the economically inactive population increased by approximately 796 thousand people.

Based on this report, the unemployment rate of youth aged 15 to 24 was 23.4%, and the 18 to 35 age group was 17.5%, indicating an increase in unemployment in both age groups.
