🔸 Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the Iranian government to stop «irresponsible» actions and attacks, including disrupting internet connectivity, which affects the entire region.

🔸 In a statement released on Tuesday, October 28 (Mehr 28), the ministry wrote that the Islamic Republic should stop actions in the Strait of Hormuz that «harm the region and its people».

🔸 Qatar’s foreign ministry warned that «such actions harm the region and its residents, and if internet connectivity is disrupted, all countries in the region will be affected.»

🔸 The statement comes after Hossein Mahbi, the spokesperson of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, threatened that as part of its «new objectives,» the Islamic Republic may target seven major internet cables in the bed of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

🔸 He made the threat after U.S. President Donald Trump supported Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, in the upcoming election campaign. In recent days, the two sides have emphasized the «unfinished work coming to an end,» a reference to the Islamic Republic.
