Prince Reza Pahlavi, at a press conference of the European Parliament, said while referring to the U.S. election: “This is the nature of democracy; something that we want to one day have in Iran; that Iranian citizens should have the right to vote in any election.”

He emphasized the need for all political parties in Europe to support the Iranian people, saying: “The values of democracy, freedom, and human rights are nonpartisan. Whether you are left or right, you must defend the rights of the people of Iran.”
