⚡Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, said on Thursday, 22 Mordad, that the United States Navy can continue the maritime blockade of Iranian ports for as long as necessary, and no other navy in the world has a similar capability.
In remarks to reporters, Hegseth said: “We can maintain the blockade for as long as we need.” He added that the U.S. Navy can continue this operation without time limits by relocating and rotating its ships.
The U.S. Secretary of Defense described the maritime blockade of the Iranian regime as a “steel wall” and said no other country or navy in the world has the ability to create such a blockade and the “will to do it.”
The remarks come as reports indicate that the United States is prepared to send the aircraft carrier “USS George Washington” to the Middle East to replace the aircraft carrier “USS Abraham Lincoln.”
