🔻Oil prices hold steady in early-week trading
Oil prices remained unchanged at the start of trading today, maintaining their gains from last week.
According to Reuters in the early hours after markets opened in East Asia, the price of Brent crude oil futures was unchanged at $88.55 per barrel, while the price of West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures during the same period fell by 14 cents to $82.26 per barrel.
Last week, Brent and West Texas Intermediate prices rose by more than 5% following attacks on oil tankers belonging to the UAE in the Strait of Hormuz and on Saudi Aramco’s refinery facilities in the Red Sea.
