North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has named the creation of the world’s most powerful armed forces in the country as one of his top priorities, the Korean Central News Agency reported after the third meeting of company commanders of the Korean People’s Army on October 22–23.

“The Central Committee of the Party has set the task of creating the world’s strongest armed forces as one of the top priorities and realistic goals to be achieved in the new planned period,” the agency quoted Kim Jong Un as saying.
