🔻Neymar, the 34-year-old Santos star, has officially ended his time with the Brazil national team and announced that after Brazil’s elimination of the Seleção in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, he will no longer wear the national team jersey.

🔹After Santos’ 4-2 victory over Universidad Central in the Copa Sudamericana, Neymar spoke about his future: “My time with the national team has ended. I made history, I had incredible moments, and I put my blood and life into the yellow Brazil jersey. I always fought for this team, but now I don’t want to continue.”

🔹Brazil’s all-time leading scorer experienced his last appearance with the Seleção at the 2026 World Cup, where Carlo Ancelotti’s squad were eliminated by Norway in the Round of 16.

🔹Neymar scored from the penalty spot in that match, but he was unable to prevent the bitter end of his 16-year stint with the national team and, after the final whistle, left the pitch with tear-filled eyes.
