🔻Netanyahu: We are waiting for real results
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, in his first remarks after the election voting ended, said, while speaking in the presence of his supporters, that he is still waiting for “real results” of the election.
Referring to the fact that Likud is “the largest party in Israel,” he said: “We must form a strong, powerful right-wing national government.”
The leader of Israel’s ruling party once again emphasized that with Donald Trump’s presence, Israel has a historic opportunity to “eliminate the Iranian threat.”
He also said that Israel cannot have a government formed with “Arab support.”
This comes as early reports point to an unprecedented turnout among Israeli Arabs.
Based on forecasts, two main parties with an Arab majority—namely the Arab Joint List known as “Ra’am” and the Joint List, an alliance consisting of three smaller parties—may in total win up to 19 seats; a figure that, if realized, would be an unprecedented record.
