The oil slick caused by damage to an oil tanker off the coasts of the United Arab Emirates has expanded further and has led to the closure of more beaches. Videos shared on social media on October 26 and 27 show a beach closed in Ras Al Khaimah; dark oil can be seen floating in the water at a distance from the shore, while a number of people stand on the closed beach watching. Authorities in the emirate said on Saturday that all of its beaches would remain closed until further notice.
