Nawaf Salam, Lebanon’s prime minister, in response to Naeem Qassem, Hezbollah’s secretary-general, said that anyone who makes a unilateral decision to go to war and tries to take control of decision-making cannot comment about patriotism and sovereignty.
The Lebanese prime minister said: “He talks so much about dialogue and unity as if Lebanese people have no memory.”
Salam emphasized that Lebanon’s sovereignty is only realized through an independent decision in a country that has one army that applies its authority across all of Lebanon’s territory.
Nawaf Salam added that the biggest help to Israel was provided by the person who unilaterally dragged Lebanon into fruitless war adventures under the banner of “support,” giving Israel a pretext to attack Lebanon.
