🔶 Nasrin Sotoudeh Wins the “Moscow Tholoni Justice” Award

Nasrin Sotoudeh, an Iranian attorney and human-rights activist, has been named the winner of the Moscow Tholoni Justice Award in 2026. According to the organizers, the prize is awarded to lawyers who, in authoritarian governments, put their freedom and security at risk in order to defend democracy and the fundamental rights of citizens.

The fourth edition of the Moscow Tholoni Justice Award ceremony, organized by a human-rights foundation in cooperation with the Tholoni Moscow Foundation, will be held on October 15 (22 Mehr) in The Hague, the Netherlands.

The award is named in memory of Tholoni Mosco, a human-rights lawyer from Eswatini who was killed by gunfire in his home in 2023.
