🔶 U.S. Central Command destroys an Iran-linked vessel in the Sea of Oman
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that on Wednesday, October 14 (22 Mehr), the U.S. Army destroyed an Iranian dhow in the Sea of Oman.
According to CENTCOM, the vessel was targeted after it was seen “monitoring and targeting U.S. Navy ships in the Sea of Oman.”
CENTCOM also added that over the past seven months, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has continued to target thousands of non-military sailors who transit the waters of the region, as well as U.S. Navy warships.
In a statement, CENTCOM confirmed: “The crew left the vessel safely before it was destroyed. Efforts to return them to their country are ongoing.”
