🔸Mehdi Ahmadi, the director of the online media outlet “Azad,” said that he went to the public prosecutor’s office with the accusation of “spreading falsehoods” and was released on bail.
🔸In a message published on Monday on the “Azad” media account on the social network X, he wrote that the outlet has been prohibited, until further notice, from publishing any interview.
🔸Mehdi Ahmadi did not provide further details about the allegations raised.
🔸In recent months, the online media outlet Azad had been publishing various interviews on political, economic, and social issues in Iran on the YouTube platform. The view counts for some of these interviews were extensive, and some of them were met with various reactions.
