Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government of the Islamic Republic, after returning from his trip to New York to Tehran, said that the plane carrying him, on the way to the United States for refueling, stopped in Algeria and that the stop lasted about two hours.

Pezeshkian said: “On the way to the United States, we had to stop for refueling in Algeria, where we were delayed for about two hours, and then we went to the United States.”

He added that during this stop, there was a brief meeting with the interior minister of Algeria, which, according to him, was accompanied by the country’s officials’ “good welcome.”
