🔻Mark Lowen, BBC journalist, was forced to leave his interview with a protesting student unfinished due to clashes between police and protesters in Paris.

According to figures from France’s Ministry of the Interior, on Thursday more than 600,000 protesters took part in demonstrations across France. Five trade and labor unions also joined these protests, calling for greater rights and more budget for public services.
