The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization said that a ship near Oman and in the Strait of Hormuz was hit by a projectile.

The organization did not specify what type of projectile it was.

The Maritime Trade Operations Organization said: “A confirmed source has reported that a ship was targeted by an unidentified projectile, and as a result a fire broke out that was brought under control. No environmental damage has been reported. According to reports, the ship and its crew are in a safe condition.”
