MS NOW report: Families of sailors and Marines aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln say the crew, after more than 8 months at sea and supporting U.S. operations against Iran, have faced severe exhaustion, shortages of some items, and poor living conditions.

The families talked about long work shifts, moldy showers, malfunctioning of some facilities, lack of food, and even difficulties in accessing simple items such as soap and toothpaste.

Some families are concerned that the crew’s severe exhaustion could increase the likelihood of incidents aboard the carrier.

The U.S. Navy, however, has said that the Abraham Lincoln remains fully operational and is also in a good logistical situation.
