Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State, on Thursday rejected reports about the possibility that he would leave the Trump administration to run for the presidential election.

Mr. Rubio, who is simultaneously the Secretary of State and national security adviser to Donald Trump, told the New York Times in an interview that continuing to work for Trump through the end of his presidential term “has always been my plan.”

The New York Times wrote, citing Rubio: “I’m literally not going to talk about 2028 anymore. I’m just not going to do that.”
