Manouchehr Mottaki, a member of parliament representing Tehran, said on Wednesday, 15 Mehr that free passage for ships through the Strait of Hormuz will be resumed when the conditions announced by Tehran are met.

He listed as among these conditions the condemnation of attacks against the Islamic Republic, the lifting of the blockade, and the removal of restrictions imposed on civilian aviation.

Mottaki added: “The Islamic Republic is seeking to ensure security in the region with the participation of regional countries and by having close relations with its neighbors, and will not allow others to fan tensions in the region.”
