🔶Low water levels in the Danube have revealed Nazi shipwrecks

It is believed that around 200 Nazi Germany ships lie on the bed of the Danube River near the city of Prahovo in Serbia. Drought has also severely restricted the movement of passenger, tourism, and cargo vessels.

The Danube, Europe’s second-longest river, has fallen to such a low level that the sunken warships of Nazi Germany from World War II have emerged from the now-dry riverbed.

Near Prahovo, a port in Serbia where the Danube forms the border between this country and Romania, the rusted hull and broken mast of one of the ships have appeared. The ship was deliberately sunk by Nazi Germany forces at the time to prevent it from being captured by Soviet forces.
