Jean-Noël Barrot, France’s foreign minister, said on Tuesday, August 27, 1405 AP, that two Iranian diplomats “in the coming days” will be expelled from France.
In his statement, the French foreign minister said, “The people of Iran, a great people, are the main victims of this period of severe tension in the Middle East; people who are caught between the bloody repression of the January 2026 protests (Dey 1404) and the bombings.”
He added: “Precisely because France stands with the people of Iran and supports Iranian artists, scientists, and researchers, two Iranian diplomats were attacked in a disgraceful and deliberate manner last July 19. I had announced that this intolerable act would come with consequences. Those consequences have now been applied. The two Iranian diplomats in France will be expelled over the coming days.”
