🔻The music festival “Soundstorm” in Saudi Arabia announced that the event, which was scheduled to be held in Azar–December, has been postponed; the festival is the latest in a series of artistic and entertainment events that have been canceled or delayed amid the ongoing war in the Persian Gulf.

The organizers of the “MDL Beast Soundstorm” festival on Wednesday—8 Mehr—in an email to ticket holders said: “We know we said we would see you at Soundstorm this year, so it’s not news we wanted to share with you. With regret, Soundstorm 2026 will be postponed.”

The announcement of the postponement of the festival, which was supposed to take place about three months later, comes one month after concerts by American pop star Christina Aguilera in the United Arab Arab Emirates were canceled, as well as a separate festival in Abu Dhabi featuring Shakira.

Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, and Cardi B are among the most prominent international artists who had performed in previous editions of the Soundstorm festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, but the names of the festival’s artists for this year had not yet been announced.
