Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, during a visit to the border between his country and Jordan, said that the policy of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government toward the Islamic Republic and threats close to Israel is aggressive and based on initiative, and that attack, destroying the enemy, and removing threats are a priority.

Citing statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about strengthening border security, Katz said that creating security zones, building border fences, and deploying military forces are an important part of Israel’s defense plan.

He, however, emphasized that these measures are only a complement to the main policy of the Israeli government.

The Israeli defense minister said: «It is this aggressive, initiative-based policy through which the prime minister, within its framework, directs Israel and its army against Iran far away and against threats that are close.»

Katz added: «Above all, attack, the destruction of the enemy, the removal of threats, and establishing powerful defense for Israeli citizens are the priorities.»
