Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Yael Zmeir, the chief of staff of the Israeli army, opposed an action by Benjamin Netanyahu that could have led to an escalation of clashes with the Islamic Republic before the election.

CNN also reported that Donald Trump, at Netanyahu’s request to launch a military action against the Islamic Republic before the parliamentary election in Israel, opposed it. Netanyahu rejected both reports.
