At the same time as senior defense and security officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey travel to Tehran, the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, by issuing a confidential directive to the media, asked them not to provide analysis regarding the issue of “the Mecca agreement,” whether in support of it or in rejection.

Based on a version of this directive that Iran International has obtained, the secretariat set out five main points for how the media should cover this meeting and informed domestic outlets of them. It also asked the media to emphasize that this trip was carried out on Pakistan’s initiative and with Iran’s favorable view.

The Supreme National Security Council has also asked the media to stress that after the recent war, the countries in the region reached the conclusion that security can be ensured only through cooperation and the participation of all countries in the region.

In another part of the message, it says that this trip could set the groundwork for moving toward “regionally endogenous security policy,” and that this process would begin from Tehran.

According to this message, regional security, the consequences of the military attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, the continuation of these attacks, and assistance to the people of Palestine and Lebanon will be among the topics discussed at the Tehran meeting.
