Irfan Qanei-Fard, a Middle East issues analyst, said, while referring to the continuation of America’s economic pressure and the reopening of the negotiation track, that Washington is trying not to completely close the path of talks and, at the same time, is increasing the cost of the continuation of the current situation for the Islamic Republic.

He added that America believes that time is in Washington’s favor and that the Islamic Republic’s room for maneuver is gradually decreasing; whereas Washington knows what its next step is, but Tehran does not know what the next option for America will be.
