Iraq’s Oil Ministry announced that tankers carrying the country’s crude oil have managed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iraqi state media published this news on Tuesday, citing the Ministry of Oil, without providing further details about the number of tankers, the time of passage, or the destination of the cargo.

The announcement comes at a time when regional tensions and attacks on ships have made passage through the Strait of Hormuz seriously risky, and oil exports from Persian Gulf countries have been under pressure.
