Iraq’s Ministry of Oil said the country’s crude oil exports, despite disruption in the Strait of Hormuz, have reached about 2.7 million barrels per day.
Salim al-Rakabi, the spokesman for Iraq’s Ministry of Oil, told the country’s official news agency that exports rose from roughly 200,000 barrels per day in the spring of this year to the current level.
Before the war, Iraq’s exports were about 3.3 million barrels per day, meaning the current level is still lower than before the war.
According to al-Rakabi, most exports are carried out from southern terminals. The Iraq–Turkey pipeline moves about 300,000 barrels per day, and the Ministry of Oil has set a target of 700,000 barrels.
