🔻Iran’s Army spokesman says U.S. conditions in the region are “not good,” and for that reason it may carry out a “military invasion.”
Brigadier General Mohammad Ekerimi Nia warned that the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran “is prepared in every way for a battle with the enemy.”
Earlier, the senior spokesman of Iran’s armed forces had also warned the United States that if it intervenes in the Strait of Hormuz, it “will be slapped.”
Abolfazl Sheykarchi also said that the United States “has no way out other than exiting West Asia,” and advised that the earlier American forces leave the region, the less damage they will suffer.
The warnings by Iranian military officials come as U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s proposed plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and reduce tensions.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal also reported, citing unnamed U.S. officials, that Donald Trump expects U.S. airstrikes to resume after this country’s midterm elections.
