🔻International Energy Agency: Energy markets in 2027 will not return to Iran’s pre-war situation

Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, predicted that global energy markets in 2027 will also not return to the pre-war conditions before the start of the war in Iran.

He said this on Monday, October 26, at the Singapore Energy Week International Conference: “Unfortunately, I don’t see any realistic path that would allow energy markets to return next year to the conditions that existed before the start of this war.”

By pointing to the war’s consequences that began in late February, Mr. Birol emphasized that governments and companies must prepare themselves to continue under these conditions and place energy security as the top priority.

He added that, at the same time, countries and companies should not ignore planning for the next phase of developments in the energy sector.
