🔻In an armed attack in Rask, Sistan and Baluchestan, an police officer was killed

The Public Relations Center of Police in Sistan and Baluchestan says that in an armed attack at dawn on Thursday (9 Mehr) on one of the checkpoints and inspection stations in the city of Rask, an police officer was killed.

The identity of the officer has been announced as “First Sergeant Alireza Sancheuli.”

Ali Khalil-Abadi, deputy for security and law enforcement at the governorate of Sistan and Baluchestan, told IRNA that the attackers launched the attack “from the direction of the river toward the checkpoint of Ahmadabad in the city of Rask, and this attack was repelled.”

He did not mention the killing of a police officer in this attack and said that “in this incident, no damage or special event occurred, and support forces are fully prepared, monitoring the area and assessing security conditions.”
