🔶 Houthi rebels claim a new attack on Riyadh airport
According to Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen, the group directly targeted Riyadh airport with a missile on Wednesday, November 4.
As reported by the German news agency, he warned passengers, airlines, and their staff against using the airspace of this country, calling it unsafe.
So far, Saudi Arabia has not confirmed the report, but the country’s civil defense authorities have, since last night, again warned about possible dangers in Riyadh and several other provinces.
In recent weeks, the Houthis have repeatedly targeted airports and Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities, and some of these attacks have led to deaths and injuries of a number of people.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that fighting in Yemen is continuing. The Houthis are fighting around the strategic city of Taiz against government forces supported by their allied militias and by Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis have also targeted objectives in the southern coastal city of Aden, where the internationally recognized Yemeni government is based.
