Hosein Mohammadi, the temporary Friday Prayer leader of Isfahan, said about Donald Trump, the President of the United States, who talked about not sending ground forces to Iran, that America not only has no intention of carrying out such an action, but also does not have the capability to launch a ground attack on Iran.
On Mehr 24 (October 16), Mohammadi said in the Friday prayer sermons in Isfahan: “The issue is not limited only to America’s decision; this country also lacks the ability to enter Iran by land, because it will face the reaction of the Iranian nation and the armed forces.”
He added that the Islamic Republic will not give in to pressures from the United States, relying on the capabilities of the armed forces and the support of the people.
The temporary Friday Prayer leader of Isfahan also called the United States’ actions in the Strait of Hormuz unsuccessful and said that the media narrative-making in Washington cannot change the realities on the ground.
In another part of his remarks, Mohammadi urged regional countries to expand cooperation with one another rather than relying on America’s security support.
He also supported the activities of Yemen’s Houthis and said: “We hope that Almighty God will add to their power and strength and provide the conditions for their final victory.”
