🔻 Hamas rejects tax collection from merchants who import goods into Gaza

The group also accused Nikolay Mladenov, the Special Representative of the “Gaza Peace Initiative”, of accepting Israel’s narrative and seeking to justify restrictions on the entry of commercial shipments into Gaza; the “Gaza Peace Initiative” was formed as part of a proposed peace plan for Gaza by Donald Trump.

In a statement published on Telegram yesterday, Hamas wrote: “We consider this approach an open display of bias and complicity with the occupiers; an action carried out with the aim of disrupting the entry of goods and intensifying the humanitarian crisis for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”

The movement also called on Mr. Mladenov to “stop the policy of siding with the occupiers and the flagrant violation of human rights.”
