Fox News, citing two U.S. officials, reported that the United States will deploy about 10,000 additional forces in the region by sending a carrier task force with the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit to the Middle East.

Liz Friden, a Fox News reporter, wrote, citing these officials, that the deployed vessels will arrive in the region by the end of November, 9 Azar.

With its arrival, Theodore Roosevelt will become the third U.S. aircraft carrier in the Middle East, joining the fleets of George H. W. Bush and George Washington.

Fox News reported these deployments at a time when, according to the outlet, U.S. President Donald Trump is considering escalating attacks on Iran following the congressional midterm elections.

The aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt left Japan on Monday, 27 Mehr. The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit was also sent on the same day from the port of San Diego, together with the MakIn Island amphibious operation group.
