🔸 Egypt: We have no connection to the ship targeted off the coasts of Yemen

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport, in a statement, announced that its government or its citizens have no connection to the Tehama ship, which is said to have been targeted off the coasts of Yemen.

According to the statement, reports linking the ship to Egypt or its ports have been described as false.

The statement said that the ship operates under the flag of Tanzania, belongs to a Yemeni national, and had been operated by a company based in the United Arab Emirates.

This denial was issued after media and social networks reported that Houthi militants had targeted a ship off the coasts of Yemen, whose operator company address was in Alexandria, in northern Egypt.

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport said: “This ship is not registered in the navigation rooms of Egypt and has not received any license to conduct shipping operations through the Sea Transport and Logistics section of Egypt.”

It added: “The ship has never entered Egyptian ports, was not moving toward Egypt, and was not carrying any cargo belonging to Egyptians.”
