Efran Qaneei-Fard, a Middle East analyst, said Israel’s warning to the Islamic Republic and Hezbollah is more a bid for deterrence and a reminder of the cost of any action against Israel than a sign of an imminent attack.

He believes the main danger is Tehran’s miscalculation and the notion that Israel’s conflict with elections reduces that country’s willingness to take action.
